Repete Video Shoot
It’s been playing in our heads even when we don’t want it to, but the song has a way of getting you to a good place. I love the song, and then I met the man behind the song and it just made sense, he has a warm personality to him.
Working with him on this shoot also taught me a lot. EjayBlackMagic is such a detailed person. I assure you, he was a trip to work with. He was both director, editor and costumier. He knew what he wanted and wouldn’t just be mediocre about it. So, no doubt the final result of the video was beautiful.
Watch it here…..
The much anticipated Repete video and I got the honor of styling it.
What are your thoughts? The point was to keep everyone guessing till the end which of the girls (characters) he was possibly going on a date with. It leaves you guessing which of the girls appeals to him right?
I hope you enjoy the video as much as I enjoyed styling it.
Your thoughts?

New Experiences…
I’ve been trying new things. I started dancing Salsa. I started fashion designing classes. I also enrolled for an online creative course. I’ve been having a great time experimenting new things and discovering the creative side of me. The sides thought I had lost, but I’m grateful I’m connecting back.
My darling friend has been asking me to try Sushi and he swears with everything that I would love every minute of it. So, I got on board and we set a date…
See what the result was…

Initiation Complete and I passed!
I’m learning new things and please watch this space as I shall soon be churning out pieces from the very amazing CrystalSwish Inc. Collection. Wish me luck.
Don’t be afraid to let go of the old and try new things. My taste buds were awakened yesterday and I shall be trying new things soon.

Distressed Denim & Base ball hat
I have fallen in love with my distressed denim all over again. I have managed to wear it so often lately, someone could almost question my denim collection. I just find them amazingly easy to wear and dress up or down. I love how it sits on me and the shade works perfectly too.
I have also found a new staple. I wear my baseball hat with everything lately. A dress, shorts, skirts, name it! Blame it on the sun or just me avoiding the salon. Whatever the case… I’m rocking these two till I can’t anymore. I’m also piling up the accessories and enjoying the art of layering.
DIY Jewelery
I always like to save things and revamp them to preserve their lives because I have grown fond of them and can’t bare to let go yet. Plus I do believe in not wasting good material or throwing it out if it can still be salvaged.
I’ve had this cocktail ring for way over a year and I absolutely love the design and decided to make it “new” just by employing a few tricks, nothing fancy that good old nail polish couldn’t achieve. I think I did a good job.
The Before Picture….
The tools….
The New Look….
What’s your verdict on the end result? It took less than 15 minutes to achieve this by the way. It is as easy as … ABC.
Summery kisses.

Varsity meets Classic
Always fall back on a black dress when all else fails. Everything I had tried on this morning, just wouldn’t give me the desired result. So I had to fall back on the classic little black dress to once again save the day. I decided to add a bit of color though, as I was only relying on the black to be my empty canvas. It was my job to build on it with my new favorite staple. I’ve come to love this varsity jacket as it is so versatile and bright.
I got to see my amazing friend Miss Fbaybeeo after so long. She’s in blue. That’s my sister in pink and my adorable niece in her fur jacket. I’m blessed.

Tricky Weather
The weather is tricky.
Ladies: Wear a light camisole/tank top or chiffon blouse under your jacket, so you don’t become too uncomfortable when the midday heat starts. If it gets too cold, hold a scarf in your bag and wrap it around your neck when it becomes a little too chilly.
Scarves ideas:
You could also try other stores like Asos, Newlook, Mr.Price, Mango to mention a few
Guys: Wear white cotton inner shirts that can absorb the sweat during the day. Take off your jacket, when in the confines of your office space, so your shirts can breathe too.

Shoe Chronicles at LFW AW13
It was supposed to be a five day event, I thought I might stay all five days and feat my eyes, but my body had other plans as I could only manage 2 days in total. The point is however that while I was there, I got a feel of it and the excitement of everything that comes with gathering creative minds to one arena! Mind blowing as you can imagine.
It was a beautiful experience and I would do it all over again, many times over if my body would let me be great. Below are a few shoes that caught my attention at LFW, muse with me…
Fashion week was interesting. Thought I would share some shoe pictures.

Birthday Weekend
It was the Mother’s birthday weekend and well two other celebrations mashed up in one. I had to run around ensuring that the over 200 guests were well catered for, so I didn’t have the luxury of wearing heels nor anything that would get in the way of moving as swiftly as I was required to. I got a chance to wear my heels the next day however, at the thanksgiving service

Peter pans and Tweed Pleats
I’m so excited. It’s my mamas birthday, retirement service and house warming ceremony in a couple of days. We gonna have a party! Whoop whoop. She has sent out her invites and in the there somewhere she demands a dress code: informal but exquisite.
As I type, I haven’t the faintest idea what to wear, I’m actually not looking in my closet yet, think i’ll just wait till last minute as usual which involves me throwing clothes in all directions trying to pick the perfect outfit. I’m just a tad lazy when it comes to picking outfits before the day of an occasion, but i’ll be ready so I fret not.
Ah anyways, a few weeks ago, I wanted to prove to myself that I could wear tweeds in the burning heat of Lagos and survive without breaking a sweat. I’m glad to say…. I achieved this! I paired my pleated tweed skirt with a Peter pan shirt and I loved the result. I especially loved the play on colors and how the black didn’t drown out all the other colors of the outfit.

Really about the hair
I have been wanting to do something different with my hair for so long… My locs were starting to get boring and I needed to try a little different as I’m experiencing a new kind of free. So I went with bohemian curls and I’m loving every minute and look of it. It suits me. I like it. That’s really all that matters. ![]()
As I dressed up for church, I sought to make sure that the outfit would compliment the hair and add to it, not take away from it. Wonder if I pulled this off… What do you think?
I decided to go simple anyways, the hair is all over the place already in my opinion.

That Necklace!
I know this was supposed to be an ad for Bobbi Brown cosmetic, but whoever styled Katie Holmes for this ad must have gotten the wrong memo.
That necklace is Awesome with a capital A for A+. I’m drooling here just wishing I had them in my closet. This necklace is all the statement you need. Wear the drabbest outfit and add this necklace and POW! Hello awesome.
A statement beaded necklace is how everyone reports it. I want one and there’s no hint as to who designed it.
. I shall keep searching till I find the designer and maybe I can snag something similar from their collection.
Layers and love.

Flowers and Flares
The Last day of year 2012, whoop! I’m feeling bright and shiny as I step out to hang with a friend and review the year together. Plus it’s a friend’s birthday today, hoping I can make a brief stop over and give her some sunshine on her day, because that’s how I feel
.
I’m excited about year 2013, I see great things ahead. I can’t wait!
Is anyone as excited as I am for the coming year?
Happy New Year great people.
Thank you for checking on us through the year.
See you next year.
Flowery thoughts and hugs for the coming year.

Yellow: The power Color
Yes, yes, it is my favorite color and I cannot deny how bright it is, but no one can argue that it is an amazing color and compliments the right skin tone just well.
Not wearing the right shade of this color can do damage to a persons’ image, so the trick is… Get that tone (shade) that works well with your skin and makes your eyes pop.
When you find the right shade for your skin, you would know it. It would speak to you, and it would be love at first sight.
Some women have found the beauty that lies in this color and are working it to their advantage as they strut the carpets, magazine shoots and events in some of the beautiful outfits ever created in this color, although not the ideal red carpet take, but fashion is about breaking the norm and having fun plus looking incredibly hot while you are at it.
Try something different once in a while, remember everyone only gets one chance to live.

In the spirit of Harvest
Bright, bold, happy, excited, thankful, grateful. December is here finally! The year has been all kinds of everything but we must be thankful for we are still standing.
I hadn’t been to the parent’s church on forever but today I was more than happy to go connect with my roots and it was a great experience. Today I’m thankful for family most especially for their love, care, support and undying, unending, unwavering love.
I picked something simple and breezy as the weather has been rather unfriendly, so I wore an A-line printed dress and bright shoes to turn the look from casual to being dressy.
Blowing you kisses from the harvest ground
